PrincipalPrincipal's Message

Ms. Pointer

Hello Einstein Families,

All I can say is WOW!!!! It was very exciting to see so many of you at Math Night! We had over 650 people in attendance!

What an exciting event for our community. So much incredibly hard work went into preparing and planning for this event. Janie Hemingway coordinated a fantastic team of teachers and parents including: Esther Bak, Brian Alfertig, Amy Walter, Kailee Vanderwerff, Jane Wartenbe, Mary Locke, Mala Mehta, Rana Shafi, and Deva Demeter, in preparing for this wonderful night. A big thank you is also extended to all of the teachers that assisted in planning games and activities for each grade level, to Dawn and Curtis for preparing the building and cleaning up after this huge event, and to Tracy McCammant, Ele Dootson, Laura Price, Emily Moulton, and Alex Locke for assisting visitors on the night of the event.

It was a really special moment for me as a principal to see so many people engaged in and excited about math. Personally, I learned several games that I am excited to play at home with my son to sharpen his math skills! Thank you so much to everyone that contributed to making this such a special night.

Enjoy this holiday week with your families. I am very thankful for each of you and the incredible children you allow us to educate!

Do You Enjoy Ice Skating?

Then you should know about the 2011-2012 Bellevue Magic Season Ice Arena brought to you by Bank of America. The ice rink is built every year in Bellevue as a temporary structure and features a partial open-air experience (but still has covering for rainy days).

Ice skating opens to the public on Friday, November 25th and closes on Sunday, January 8th and is a part of the Bellevue Magic Season. Admission is $10/person, which includes skate rental.

And there is a special offer to raise money for Einstein... From November 25 through December 16, 2011 and January 3-8, 2012 (excluding Mondays), if you notify the rink staff when you purchase your tickets that you go to Einstein, $3 of every entry fee will be paid back to the PTSA at the end of the season.
