Hello Einstein Families,
Congratulations to all of our 3rd - 6th grade students! MSP testing is over!! I was so impressed by students' effort and focus during MSP testing. We are very thankful that there were so few absences during test too. We anticipate MSP results will be available in late August. You will receive your student's results in the mail. We can't wait to see how well the students did!
There are a few people that worked very hard to ensure smooth MSP testing. Mrs. Connors was incredible in her organization and management of all of the testing material! Thank you Mrs. Connors and all of the staff that supported her!
Parents, Laura D'Urso and Rana Shafi provided incredible snacks for students during testing. Each day, the students' snack included a carbohydrate, a protein, a fruit and a vegetable. We can't thank you enough for providing such healthy snacks for our students!
And thank you to everyone else that assisted with this important task!
Have a great weekend!
Melissa Pointer,
Principal

Parent/Community Survey Now Open
Each year, Lake Washington School District asks parents to provide feedback on their experiences with district schools. This year the survey is also open to all community members. In order to participate, you have two options:
- Click on this link
- Copy and paste this entire link in a web browser http://research.zarca.com/k/SsWYVTsSUsPsPsP
This data will help our school understand your experiences, where we are doing well and where we might improve. When combined with feedback from parents at other schools, this information will also help the district understand where it is doing well or can improve. Your feedback is very important to us. The survey closes June 6th, so please take the time to give your feedback before the deadline.

Throughout the year, our 5th graders have enjoyed numerous in-class workshops. These enrichment opportunities have been made possible by local grant assistance, the generous donations of our wonderfully supportive parents, and matching gifts from several area employers.
Here's a glimpse at some of our recent and upcoming events: 3, 2, 1... Liftoff! On April 28th, science educators from the Museum of Flight shared the history of space exploration with our fifth graders and then our young aerospace scientists worked in teams to create water rockets, which we launched from the sand field. This special event aligned closely with our study of potential and kinetic energy for our Motion & Design science unit.
Next week is full of enrichment tied to the arts. On Monday, a Seattle Art Museum instructor will join us to create multimedia landscapes. We will also host performance arts educators from the Seattle Children's Theatre for a three-day workshop incorporating early colonial life and the American Revolution.

End Hunger Coin Drive Starts May 23rd
The annual End Hunger Summer Coin Drive starts this Monday, May 23, and goes till Friday, June 3. All proceeds go to Redmond's Hopelink Food Bank.
Little brown bags with more information will be coming home on Monday... so start collecting those coins. If you have any questions please contact Mrs. Crane, Einstein's School Counselor, at ccrane@lwsd.org. |
A Very BIG Thank You to Redmond PCC
Thank you to our wonderful neighborhood market, Redmond PCC!! They provide generous, weekly donations of organic fruit for Einstein students' snacks.
This week, PCC provided so much fruit that the 5th and 6th graders were able to take the extra home and share with their family. We just want to say thank you again to PCC for the healthy snacks and supporting our school!!
