Principal's Message

Hello Einstein Families,

We are half way through with MSP testing and we can't thank you enough for working so hard to have students at school for testing. We have had very little absenteeism which is fantastic! We also appreciate that students have come in well rested and well fed! It makes such a difference for your students when that is the case.

I also wanted to take a moment to thank the PTSA parents who coordinated the Staff Appreciation breakfast and lunch last week. Those parents are; Denisa Fargo, Julie Bruntz, and Rana Shafi. We are also very thankful for all of the parents that brought food items in. We thoroughly enjoyed all of the delicious things people spoiled us with!

On another note, below are instructions on how you can participate in a survey the district is making available to parents. I would strongly encourage you to take this survey because the District will provide Einstein specific results to us once the survey closes. This information is extremely valuable to me and our staff as we continue to refine our system. Thank you in advance for taking a few minutes to give us your feedback.

Have a great weekend!

Melissa Pointer,

Principal

** SCHOOL NEWS **

Parent/Community Survey Now Open

Each year, Lake Washington School District asks parents to provide feedback on their experiences with district schools. This year the survey is also open to all community members. In order to participate, you have two option:

  1. Click on this link
  2. Copy and paste this entire link in a web browser http://research.zarca.com/k/SsWYVTsSUsPsPsP

This data will help our school understand your experiences, where we are doing well and where we might improve. When combined with feedback from parents at other schools, this information will also help the district understand where it is doing well or can improve. Your feedback is very important to us. The survey closes June 6th, so please take the time to give your feedback before the deadline.

News from our Art Docents - Art of Discovery Week

This year our art docent program has brought a host of wonderful art experiences to the students of Einstein. From Monet to Rockwell, Einstein students have studied a variety of different artists and art techniques. A huge thanks to our many art docents who make this program possible.

Next week (May 16-20) we have the pleasure of hosting the Northwest Art of Discovery collection in our library. The students will get a chance to tour this original collection of art from Northwest artists. Each grade will then be able to create a piece of art based on one of the artworks in the collection. Feel free to stop by the library and check out the wonderful collection.

** PTSA NEWS **

Einstein's First Walk-A-Thon is coming!

Our last fundraiser of the year starts next week, and culminates in a Walk-A-Thon during lunch recess on June 2.  Students will be collecting donations to go toward a new play area for our playground!  Look for more information coming home next week.
