Principal's Message

Hello Einstein Families,

I hope you enjoyed your spring break! It is hard to believe there are only 12 weeks left in this school year!

The MSP (Measurement of Student Progress) testing window for Grades 3-8 is coming up next month, May 2-19. The MSP paper-and-pencil version of the exam includes math, reading, writing and science. I have included the detailed testing schedule here. It is also accessible on lwsd.org/school/einstein and einsteinptsa.org. Letters have been sent home for the students taking the tests.

We are giving you this information early so you can schedule appointments and absences carefully to avoid missing MSP testing dates. Please ensure your children arrive at school on time. Testing will begin at the beginning of the school day. For more information on state testing, please visit www.WAtesting.com.

We are very hopeful that you will encourage your children to participate and do their best on the state test this year.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Melissa Pointer, Principal

** SCHOOL NEWS **

RunningclubRunning Club is back April 15th: All grades during lunch recess

Running club is an opportunity for students to practice healthy lifestyle choices and run or walk laps around the school during their recess. For each lap students complete, they are given a raffle ticket to write their name on.  Their tickets are then entered in a drawing to win prizes.

The last running club was a huge success with almost every student in the school participating!  Students were even joined by staff members who walked/ran laps around the school as well.

This month we are adding music so students and staff have something to listen to while walking/running around the school. We would also like to encourage parents to come participate in running club during their lunch hour and act as role models in healthy living. Don't forget to wear your running shoes!

Einstein PE News - Keep our Children Active

Don't forget to have your child participate in Shape Up Across Washington during the month of April. Have fun earning mileage on an imaginary "journey" across the state. A "Mileage Log" has been sent home with your child. Return it by April 30th and they will be eligible to win Shape Up prizes. Check with our PE teacher, Mrs. Plate, for more information.
