Dear Parents,
As my time at Einstein Elementary comes to a close I would like to reflect on the greatest strength I have found at Einstein Elementary; the sense of community at this school is incredible. When students and families are in need the whole staff rallies around that student and their family to help and support them in anyway possible. Families and our PTSA are generous with their time and expertise to also provide staff and students with all those "extra things". People in our greater community have also taken us under their wing to support our efforts and students. The sense of community is an attribute that needs to be continually nurtured and developed and is one of Einstein's greatest strengths.
Mrs. Melissa Pointer will be back with all of you on January 3, 2011 after winter break. She is excited and really looking forward to getting to know each and everyone. I would like to thank each of you for making my stay with you one that has built a life time of memories for me. Have an enjoyable break; take time to enjoy your family and the traditions of your holiday season.
Best wishes for a great new year,
Thanks,
Karen Bates, Principal

Have a Safe and Wonderful Winter Break!
We'll see you next year January 3rd Monday! |
Encourage All Students to Read during Winter Break
Our students have all brought books back home to read during the winter break. Please continue to encourage your children to read. Recommend favorites that you remember and that could just be the "push" that gets them started.
Don't forget the online resources and LWSD databases materials, which can be found here. |

THANK YOU for all your donations to Hopelink this year. I have brought 10 full buckets of food and gifts. Our Einstein Community has truly made a difference this holiday season. Happy Holidays!

Thank you to our Einstein Choir
We had really enjoyed the holiday music during our Einstein choir performance this Thursday at school assembly. We also had a chance to say goodbye to our interim principal, Mrs. Bates, and show her how much we've appreciated her. PTSA presented her a gift, an Otterwear sweater, so she'll remember her time with us. Thank you, Einstein Choir, and especially Mrs. Seong for the wonderful holiday music! |
The 3rd Grade Thanks PCC!
Ms. Nichols' 3rd grade class would like to thank PCC for all of the donations they have given us. PCC has started a partnership with our class and they have been providing left over fruits and vegetables for us weekly. We have been learning about the benefits of organic produce with each donation. The students are overjoyed to have healthy snack choices that also keep them full. Our class has agreed that they "always get excited on fruit day (the day the fruit is picked up)! "
As a teacher, I am extremely grateful for the donations because I don't have to worry about wandering minds due to hungry stomachs (especially during the lessons that are taught right before lunch)! The students have showed their appreciation to PCC through thoughtful writing/art pieces that you can check out at PCC!

Einstein PTSA Thanks Mrs. Bates
Goodbye and thank you to our interim principal Karen Bates.
It has been a pleasure to have you at our school the past four months. You will be missed by parents, staff, and students. We appreciate your kind support and direction.
We hope you enjoy your retirement and make every day an "Otterrific " day! |
