Principal's Message
Dear Families,

What a great start to the school year.  Einstein opened with 450 students and other than a late bus, everything went very smoothly.  Next Wednesday we begin early release so students will be dismissed at 2 p.m.  During early release time, in the month of September, teachers and I will be working on aligning our safety net programs with the classroom curriculum and continuing our focus on minimizing the disruption to instructional time.

Please mark your calendars for the Curriculum Nights. This might be the most important school event of the year and we hope to have 100% of our families represented.
Grades 1 - 3 -- September 9th at 7 p.m.
Grades 4 - 6 -- September 16th at 7 p.m.
Remember, read to your children every day and enjoy your last "official" weekend of summer.

Thanks,
Karen Bates, Principal
Albert Einstein Elementary

Join Einstein PTSA Today!

Joining the PTSA is a simple way to stay connected to your child and be engaged in their education. Membership is only $12.50 per person and $25.00 per couple.

Check with our Membership Chair, Laura D'Urso if you have any questions or would like to find out more about the organization.

Pass The Hat - Every dollar counts!

Pass the Hat
is our annual PTSA fundraiser, every dollar donated goes directly to support our Einstein children. Great programs like Nature Vision Science Experiences, Einstein Choir, Classroom Chess Program, Spelling Club, Art Enrichment Program and more depend on strong financial support from our Einstein community!

Please help us reach our goal of $65 per student, although more is always welcome. Complete the form and return it to your children's teacher. If your company matches contributions, please complete the required matching from and designate "Einstein PTSA". Thank you for your support!

Parent Involvement

You have the ability to make a difference in your child's education! Parent involvement is great for children, great for teachers and great for the school!

Just two hours a semester make a difference - be a Classic Books Reader, Lunch Buddy, Art Docent, or join our PTSA team. Please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Rana Shafi, or check out all the volunteer opportunities available.

Before and After School Activities

How about letting us help you plan out your child's before and after school activities? Learn Spanish, how to play chess, join an art class or the Einstein choir? Easy!

PTSA has sponsored a number of wonderful before and after school enrichment activities for your children this fall. Check out more details at our website and return the completed application form by September 15th to secure your spot!

PCC Cards Fundraising

The PTSA is selling preloaded PCC cards for $25.00 again this fall.  We have a limited supply, so get yours early.  Every time you reload your card at PCC, Einstein gets 5% donated back to us.  If you have any questions, please contact Donna Muench.

Playground beautified!

Have you seen the beautiful maps that were recently painted on the playground? We could not have done it without the generous donation of all of the paint and yard games projects from Sherwin-Williams Paint of Redmond, and all of the painting supplies and materials from Parker Paint of Redmond. We thank you!
