Welcome to Einstein Everyone,
The school year is soon upon us and there is a buzz in the air with preparation for the 2010-2011 school year. We have added six new staff members, two classroom teachers and four safety net teachers. We are excited to welcome them to the staff at Einstein Elementary. We are looking forward to a great year and are counting on the continued support of our parents and community. It truly is a team effort to provide the learning experiences and support all students need. It is a great gift to a school when families support their children, support their school and get involved. I am a life time member of PTSA and would encourage everyone to join Einstein PTSA. The membership fee is small but the work they do is immeasurable.
I look forward to getting to know each of you and personally adding to the Einstein Community.

Important Reminders and Dates | |
Kindergarten Curriculum Night
August 25th, 2010, 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. At Kindergarten Curriculum Night, the teachers and our new principal will share valuable information about the Kindergarten program. The bus driver for the ½ day students will also be here to share information about the Kindergarten bus route. This evening is for parents only.
All School Meet and Greet
August 26th, 2010, 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. Classroom assignments will be posted at noon. Please come with your child to meet your child's teacher and see the classroom, sign up for volunteer opportunities, and deposit money in your child's lunch account.
Immunizations Update
Students need to be up to date on their immunizations to start school. If your child has updated immunization records please bring them to the office by Aug 26th. If your child is going into 6th grade, make sure you have provided the office with the date of their DTaP/TDaP and/or varicella vaccinations.
First Day of School!
Sept 1st, 2010, 8:55 am - 3:30 pm
Remember last school bell rings at 8:55 am and your child needs to be in the class at that time. Please note that the first day of school is a full day and it ends at 3:30 pm, and not the usual Wednesday 2:00 pm dismissal. First Day Coffee
Sept 1st, 2010, 9:00 am in the school library
Join us for some coffee on the first day of school and meet or reconnect with other Einstein parents.
School supply lists
The updated school supply list for each grade is now posted at our PTSA website. Go to the " Supply List" tab from the home page, and then look for the 2010-2011 School Supply List. Supply lists are different for each grade so check carefully. |

Dear Einstein Families,
Welcome back to Einstein to those of you already a part of our community, and a great big welcome and hello to those of you who are new to our school!
I hope you all had a great summer and are ready to begin a new school year. We have plans for many fun and exciting upcoming events this school year. Our goal this year is to continue to build our sense of community and the involvement of all the families at our school. We encourage you to take an active part in your child's education and get involved by joining the PTSA and volunteering throughout the year.

Community Serve Day at Einstein

On Saturday August 21, local church members from the Overlake Christian Church along with Einstein parents and families volunteered at Einstein completing various projects such as setting up classrooms, decorating bulletin boards, washing desks, pulling weeds, and painting playground games.
We want to sincerely thank all the volunteers and especially Einstein parent Abbie Cort from Einstein for organizing this event to help get us off to a good start! |

Stop by our PTSA table on Aug 26th, and check out our "Pass the Hat" fundraising event, and PCC Scrip card purchase. Every dollar counts!
There will also be plenty of volunteer opportunities available for the school year so get involved in school and help your child succeed!
