Mr. Tobin's Weekly Message

Einstein Families and Einstein Staff,

Welcome Mrs. Pointer!
This week, I learned that this will be my last year at Einstein Elementary. I have been reassigned and beginning in July, I will be the principal at Emily Dickinson and Explorer Community School. Their current principal, Ellen Challenger announced her retirement late last week.

As I went to the classrooms to share the news with the students, they asked how I was feeling about this change. The best way to describe this is like when my dad told me we were moving to Minnesota from Colorado when I was in 5th grade. I was sad to be moving. I loved my house and my room and my friends. There was also a little bit of excitement. What will my new house be like? Who will be my new friends? That is very similar to how I am feeling now. I will really miss the students, families and staff at Einstein, yet I have a new opportunity in front on me.

Wednesday afternoon, Mrs. Pointer was introduced to the teaching staff as the new principal. We toured the school and met the students on Thursday and she attended the Student Recognition Assembly. She has most recently served as the Associate Principal at Redmond High School and is very excited to become the next principal at Einstein!

Thanks,

Jack M. Tobin
