Mr. Tobin's Weekly Message |
You will be receiving your Otter Mail message every Friday with the goal of having a "one-stop-shop" for your weekly information from the school and the PTSA in a very environmentally friendly format. We are hoping to cut down on the paper use and to consolidate all of the information that you need into one easy to read newsletter. I am very excited about the first issue of Otter Mail being sent today! I would like to acknowledge the hard work that the PTSA has done to make this project turn from a vision to a reality. Michelle Sullivan and Kitty Tam have worked countless hours to help launch this new communication strategy, and I would like to publically celebrate their efforts!
Have a great weekend!

| LWSD K-12th Math Adoption Parent Input Meeting |
|
The LWSD has been busily evaluating several new math curriculum options for our district to adopt next year in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade, and we need your input!
These meetings will include a presentation about the math curriculum review process, highlights of the top curricula, and an opportunity for parents to review the curricula and complete input forms. The dates, times and locations of the meetings can be found here. More information on Math is linked here. |
| Coffee Chats with EJH |
|
Evergreen Jr High administrators will be coming to the Einstein library on Jan 14, 1:30pm for an Q/A discussion with interested 6th graders' parents. Everyone is invited and welcome to come to any or all of the discussions. Meeting times are listed here. |
| Family Math Night - Games and Fun in Math |
Next Thursday Jan 14th is Family Math Night at Einstein from 7:00-8:30! Come join us in the commons for fun, hands-on games and learn new ideas of how you can get your kids excited about doing math at home. The class with the highest percent of kids who come will earn an extra recess with Mr. Tobin! Please click here for more information, and reply to Debbie Breer or Shauna Kennedy with number of children and adults attending, children's name and grade level. Thank you! |
| New Year Resolution? |
At the beginning of the year we asked each Einstein family to volunteer 2 hours of their time. There are many volunteer opportunities to fit your interest and availability. Please contact Rana Shafi or Deva Demeter for more information.
Volunteering makes you feel great and makes such a difference to the students and staff of Einstein Elementary. A New Year's resolution to volunteer or volunteer more often is one you can keep and one you will feel great about!
