JSerra Grads Look Back - And Forward

Wearing leis made of everything from flowers to dollars bills to candy, the JSerra Catholic High School's class of 2012 walked into the school's pavilion for the last time as students and boldly walked out as graduates.

 

Not long ago their parents were staring down at them as newborns in swaddling blankets, thinking, "What do I do with that?" Principal Eric Stroupe said.

 

Now the seniors are off to the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, Gonzaga University, Auburn, Illinois, Georgia Institute of Technology, Notre Dame and many others.

Lions for Literacy is Collecting Used Books

The Lions for Literacy Club is collecting used books for students who can't afford to buy their own. To donate, simply place them in the provided boxes either by the lockers or in the Front Office. Contact Patrick McManus at patrick.mcmanus@jserra.org. Students in need of books should contact Mrs. Ripullo at aripullo@jserra.org.  

United for Religious Freedom
On Friday, June 8, Orange County will join thousands of faithful citizens who will gather in prayer and public witness in cities and towns all across the United States to oppose the HHS Mandate.  The HHS Mandate forces employers-including religious charities-to provide free contraceptives, female sterilization, and abortion-inducing drugs in their health plans. JSerra students will receive 2 Christian Service hours for attending the rally.

Campus Ministry Worship Album For Sale

Campus Ministry recorded a "live" worship album from our very own chapel with 25 JSerra students and is now available for a suggested donation of $10. It's a great gift for a graduation senior or to anyone that enjoys the songs we sing at Mass, retreats and worship services. You may purchase a CD from Campus Ministry.
