 Three millennia ago, one of David's first challenges - en route to establishing his kingdom - was to have to slay Goliath. Today, one of our challenges - en route to restoring David's kingdom under the kingship of the Greater Son of David - is to slay our Goliath - which is the huge number of divisions that exist among the people of Israel.
Israel's remnant will primarily be harvested from the innumerable factions of Christianity and the many divisions of Judaism, and uniting them is truly a Goliath-type task. But slay the monster we must. How does our God want to use us modern-day David's to slay our present-day Goliath? How does He want us to work to unite His people?
The "stone" that will slay our Goliath is the realization that we can "unite" despite our differences! We can do it by realizing that unity does not necessarily mean "uniformity." Messianic Israelites have proved that this can be done under the umbrella of the Messianic Israel Alliance. In it, Believers from both Ephraim and Judah have come together from a Heinz 57 variety of theologies and doctrines. they have come together under the broad umbrella that is "The Hope of Messianic Israel." "The Hope" lays out certain essentials to our faith, while leaving room for many differences among us. To unite all Israel, the faithful ones in the Church (and those who are still in the world) need to see the truth about their own Israelite heritage, and to recognize and receive Judah as a fellow Israelite. When this miracle takes place, when the Jewish people experience the effects of non-Jewish Israelites loving them as brothers, they will see the Messiah in us and thus "recognize" Him (Romans 11).
Messiah Yeshua said, "Any kingdom divided against itself is laid waste; and a house divided against itself falls" (Luke 11:17). So, how can we be a help in our Messiah's call for unity, rather than be a hindrance to it? How can we be a uniter (one who seeks unity for a greater common purpose) instead of being a divider (one who divides and encourages disunity)? How can we best help to accomplish the foreordained reunion plan of our God? First we realize that YHVH swore, saying, "I scattered them [Israel] among the peoples, but they will remember Me in far countries, And they with their children will live and come back" (Zechariah 10:9).
 When we "come back" we will be part of a united people; and not as those who are divided and alone. 
If ever there was one word that describes those who, knowingly or unknowingly work for the Evil One, it is the word, "Divider." Those who work for the Holy One can similarly be described with one word, "Uniters." The One True God will, in the end, have but "One People." He even warns us, "Woe to the shepherds who are destroying and scattering the sheep of My pasture! .... You have scattered My flock and driven them away, and have not attended to them; behold, I am about to attend to you for the evil of your deeds," declares YHVH. "Then I Myself will gather the remnant of My flock out of all the countries where I have driven them and bring them back to their pasture, and they will be fruitful and multiply. I will also raise up shepherds over them and they will tend them; and they will not be afraid any longer, nor be terrified, nor will any be missing," declares YHVH (Jeremiah 23:1-4).
