Chiropractic Care & Your Immune System
| Dr. Shawn Yarmo
| The benefits
of chiropractic care go beyond the initial relief after a quick adjustment.
Chiropractic care is holistic in nature, meaning you will get treatment and
advice for your body as a whole, not just for an isolated problem.
Chiropractic
focuses on aligning the skeletal system properly so that the muscles, nerves,
tendons, ligaments and organ systems affected by skeletal alignment can
function properly.
Some of the many benefits include pain
relief in your joints, back, or head. Others may include increased mobility,
performance, balance, coordination or energy.

Acupuncture Can Treat Headaches & Migraines
| Dr. Sang Lee
| Acupuncture is known as a
traditional
Chinese medicine. Migraines are often a
result
of reduced energy and or blood flow
causing
pain to one or both sides of the head.
The reduced
blood flow to the brain causes tension
and lack
of oxygen to the brain. Many migraines
start
as tension headaches, and grow
stronger until
they are full-blown migraines. Acupuncture
treats
migraines by
relieving the tension. This is done by
maximizing
the blood flow to the brain and giving
the brain
the oxygen needed. During a 15 to 30
minute
acupuncture treatment the brain senses
normalization
of blood flow, and as seen in numerous
treatments
the blood vessels will constrict back
to their
normal size, ending the migraine
headache.

Joyful Independence
Dr. Daniel Sadigh, Founding Director

As an
individual, a society, or a nation gaining independence requires growth, while
the relationships to the outside world never seizes to exist; however, we
cannot be in relation with others without giving away
some power.
Celebrating our country's Independence
reminded me that an independent person is like a sovereign nation; while it
needs autonomy, it cannot exist in isolation. Joyful
independence is known as
interdependence. It starts with our willingness to give away controlling
power in conscious and healthy ways, due to our self-worth no longer depending on outside sources. Interdependence is about forming connections with other
beings and giving some others limited power over our welfare and our feelings. We
cannot do this without also giving them the power to hurt us or to cause us to
feel angry or scared. Our relationships contain
four stages of dependence that start at infancy and develop through life:
Dependence: In the first 18 to
24
months, newborns are dependent on a caregiver in order to survive. Adults
who do not emotionally grow out of this
stage tend to depend on objects or addictive behaviors.
Co-dependence: Children gradually attempt
to become independent although they are primarily dependent until at
least age
15 or so. Grown ups may also struggle with this stage as their
expectation of being
supported continues on regardless of their age. Independence: Healthy teenagers
become independent and remain that way until at least age 20. The
rebellious and
antisocial attitude of some adults is a sign of emotional stagnancy at
this
stage.
Interdependence: Healthy adults can
become interdependent after age 20, and for the rest of their lives may
enjoy
the give and take of every relationship. Read more...

Hypnotherapy & Your Wellbeing
Meredith Locher; MA, CH
Habits are hard to change when they are driven by deep, strong emotions. If you have tried to change an unwanted habit and failed time after time, hypnosis might be your answer! Hypnosis connects you with your inner resources you never knew you had to reach goals you never believed possible.Hypnosis opens the blocked door to your subconscious mind. Your subconscious has the answer to all of your questions and can access more than you consciously know.Hypnosis digs deep into your subconscious so buried memories stop triggering the same unwanted emotion or behavior.
Pain is inevitable, suffering is a choice. The effects of unconscious emotions on your body, and symptoms of illness, can be alleviated through hypnosis.
