Surfing Through Economical Uncertainties Dr. Daniel Sadigh

In today's economical uncertainties many are affected by reduction in pay, change of working hours, loss of investments, increased cost of living, or difficulty finding a job. Individuals, couples and families are stretched to meet the daily needs of surviving; they are experiencing stress and anxiety. This financial decline has disrupted feelings of joy in many lives.
Having a joyful life requires a well maintained sense of vitality and a balanced life-style. When one's sense of security is jeopardized, it may seem natural to feel sad or depressed but to what extent? What do you do when the pressures of keeping a roof over your head, putting food on the table, affording a simple life is coupled with the shame of not having enough in a material society? How do you face problems with money when your thoughts and emotions get overwhelmed and your sense of wellbeing is directly affected? A whole host of debilitating health hazards, both physical and mental, may add tremendous stress on an insecure situation. In turn you will be facing substantial increase in the risk for developing problems such as:
· Persistent Sadness · Excessive Anxiety · Lack or excess of Sleep · Constant Fatigue · Excessive Irritability/Anger · Increased drinking · Illicit drug use, including misuse of medications · Difficulty paying attention or staying focused

Benefits of Acupuncture for Cancer patients Dr. Sang Lee (L.Ac., MTOM)
Reduce the side effects of Chemotherapy and Radiation throughAcupuncture Although chemotherapy and radiation treatments may be effective against cancer cells, chemotherapy and radiation destroy normal tissue and healthy cells and cause a wide array of side effects and adverse reactions, including but not limited to nausea, vomiting, hair loss, weakness, fatigue, and most importantly, bone marrow suppression with decreased count of red and white blood cells. Serious cases of bone marrow suppression often necessitate the termination of chemotherapy and radiation treatments, a scenario where the patient now suffers from both cancer and its treatments at the same time.Acupuncture can be used as an additional and complimentary treatment for the
side effects that cancer patients experience.
Use of Chinese herbs and acupuncture treatments are extremely effective to complement chemotherapy and radiation. , Not only do they alleviate many side effects of chemotherapy and radiation, they strengthen the overall constitution of the body so they can tolerate and finish the entire course of therapies.

Stay Motivated
Easy & Effective Tips from The Wheel

As many of us are feeling overwhelmed and working harder than ever, we are also making adjustments to our personal lives. What was once a "necessity" has now become a "luxury." The first things that we start to cut down in our lives are usually the things we need most to keep us healthy, sane and in balance to move forward. We cut back on our gym membership, inspirational classes, healthy foods, hobbies, gatherings and etc...
In the last year for many good people time has become scarce, stress level has gone up and sense of hopelessness has taken over. With the stress levels being so high, instead of keeping up with taking care of our body many of us forgo our health-care because "there are so many other more important things to do with the money and time!" We run out the door in the morning or arrive home late in the evening, turning to empty calories and processed foods that are quick and easy. And as our minds race with anxiety, we worry about what tomorrow will bring and allow our nervous energy to increase our emotional eating and lack of mobility. Now more than ever we need to take of ourselves! We cannot afford to abandon our health and well-being! Read more...
