Hello,

I hope you all had a great week and weekend! As for me, I'm counting the days (7) until my boys are home, safe and snug in my arms. (Ok, my sons are 13 and 9, so I'm not sure how much time they'll actually spend in my arms--but a mother can dream, right?!)

In this week's ZIED GUIDE, you'll learn whether calorie posting on menus helps you lower your calorie intake. You'll also get the scoop on dried fruit. Speaking of fruit, you'll find a delicious recipe for a sweet summer salsa. Finally, you'll get tips on what foods to eat for healthy hair.

I hope you have a great week--and please don't forget to take some time to nourish your body and mind with food, fitness, friends and family!

Until next time,

Elisa

The Scoop on Dried Fruit

We all know fruit--packed with vitamins, minerals, fiber, and water--is healthful (at least I hope we all know that). But is it ok to swap fresh fruit for dried versions? Get the scoop on this sweet treat from dietsinreview.com

Isn't This Peachy?

This recipe for salsa, from Jackie Newgent's BIG GREEN COOKBOOK, is so delicious, you'll want to make it at your next party or BBQ (or the next time you cook with or for your family). Check it out in The ZIED GUIDE blog.
