Hello,
Hope you're all enjoying a wonderful start to summer. We delivered our two kids to the camp bus on Saturday, and it was bitter sweet to say the least. They waved and climbed onto their bus, not missing a beat, and I'm sure that while they miss some comforts of home, they're not missing homework or my nagging!
I am a sleepaway camp veteran, having gone for 8 weeks for 6 straight summers. And when I went to camp, there were no camp web sites with photos or videos to get parents who miss their kids through the summer. How times have changed! My husband and I spend at least an hour every day on the camp web site, looking for photos of our kids and sending them one-way emails. Of course we miss our children and are happy they can have this wonderful experience. We also plan to take advantage of an opportunity to have rare time alone together. (The longest stretch of time we've had alone together since our kids were born was one week about seven years ago!)
In this week's ZIED GUIDE newlsetter, you'll learn why you may not be losing weight despite your best efforts. You'll also find two delicious protein-packed recipes for babies and toddlers, and learn how to develop a taste for more healthful foods.
Hope you have a wonderful and active week. Until next time, Elisa |
