Hello all,
Hope you all had a fantastic President's Day! I enjoyed a few days away with my family in beautiful Beaver Creek, Colorado. My boys went skiing and completed their first black diamond ever, while I did hour long treadmill walks, weight training, and even enjoyed an 80-minute massage! We all had a nice, relaxing time and hope you and yours did as well.
Since the last ZIED GUIDE, I enjoyed meeting with several magazines to discuss Pour One More, the great new got milk? campaign I'm a current spokesperson for. You can learn more about the initiative to help Americans pour one more cup of milk each day to reduce the great nutrient gap by going to whymilk.com.
In this week's newsletter, you'll get a great pizza recipe, learn how to manage "parent-noia," and get ideas to help you make better food choices with your family. You'll also learn my response to a question about toddler nutrition. Finally, you'll learn about the American Dietetic Association's National Nutrition Month that launches tomorrow, March 1st, and why it's vital to add color to your plate.
What will you do to eat more colorful foods (and I don't mean jelly beans!) during National Nutrition Month? Please tell me on Facebook or Twitter.
With happy returns,
Elisa
