Greetings!

Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We spent time in East Hampton, New York with my parents and cooked up a storm. I made delicious Brussels sprouts and sweet potato French fries, and my mom (as usual) made the mouth-watering turkey, sweet potato pie, and my all-time favorite dish, stuffing! We ended the meal with some cookies our sons baked with BB (that's what they call my mom) and cheesecake, my older son Spencer's favorite dessert. YUM!

Fortunately, despite all the eating, we were all active this weekend--my boys played lots of backyard basketball (I would have joined but still have a bum wrist!), and I power walked every day and did some lower body weight training. All in all, it was a mellow, restful, mostly work-free weekend that we all enjoyed. I hope you all had the same with your loved ones!

In this week's ZIED GUIDE™, you'll find my "Brain Diet" segment that appeared on Fox TV (Wild Bill was the host, and though he mispronounced my name, it was a fun segment to do). You'll also learn how to overcome (or at least manage) your junk food habit, and find out my thoughts on whether specific foods can really help you blast belly fat in my new GALTime video.

Feel free to pass this on to others, or ask them to sign up at www.elisazied.com (on the right side of the home page).
And stay tuned for my special December giveaway--details in next week's newsletter, so you won't want to miss it! Have a great week.

Is There Really a Brain Diet?

Check out my TV segment with "Wild Bill" on Fox 4's "Morning Blend" during which I discussed top foods to keep your brain in tip top shape. (Full disclosure: This segment was part of a satellite media tour I did on behalf of the Apple Products Research and Education Council (APREC)).

5 Tips to Tame Your Junk Food Habit

I admit it..I really love my chocolate..and chips, donuts, and twizzlers too....but like you, I try to keep my love of all things fatty and sugary in check to stay healthy and manage my weight. Check this out to see how you can really have your cake and eat it too without completely sabotaging your healthful habits.
Can Certain Foods Really Blast Belly Fat?

"Eat ____ for ripped abs," or "Have more of _____ to cure excess belly fat"...you've heard it all before, but can specific foods really help you fight abdominal fat? Check out my GALTime.com video to find out my thoughts on the topic.
