Thank you Las Vegas Fremont Rotarians for achieving a Rotary year that was "bigger, better and bolder".  We excelled beyond my wildest dreams in every project and event.  I am so proud to have served as your cheerleader - it was easy with so many extraordinary individuals who always asked how to help and said yes when asked.

Hundreds of children were touched with the generosity andBooker TDay time of our members through monthly Birthday Bashes at Agassi B&G Club, the Booker Thanksgiving Agassi library(our 8th year), the new LV Fremont Rotary Reading Room at the Agassi Club complete with nearly 500 new books and furniture, Santa Clothes, Operation Christmas Child, Rotoplast surgeries and polio immunizations. Plus we sent six future leaders to RYLA.

Through our hosting of Judges from Tajikistan, judges 2010Group Study Exchange Students from Jordan and Egypt, and soccer teams from around the world, we continued Rotary's vision of peace through ROW 2011tolerance and understanding.

We showed our caring and compassion for strangers through the Three Square food packing event, the annual garden clean-up at Easter Seals and the new home build in Tecate, Mexico.

We celebrated an important milestone25th Party for our Club with the 25th anniversary party on Fremont Street - without a doubt one of the most unbelievable parties ever put on by any Rotary Club anywhere.  Months of planning and personal sacrifices by the Planning Committee, as well as the members of our Club, made this an event to remember for years to come.

We honored our 3 Charter members and new multiple Paul Harris recipients, as well as a new Bequest Society member.  We 4th of July Eagleinducted 5 exciting new members who have already left their mark on our Club.  We recognized our first Rotarian of the Year and Service Above Self recipients. We marched in parades and walked for Make-A-Wish and JDRF.  We had representation at the RI conference and graduated with honors at District Assembly.

We celebrated birthdays and holidays, holiday partywelcomed new member's grandbabies, and enjoyed exceptional fellowship each week at our meetings.  And, I will say the past presidents did conduct a kinder, gentler debunking with, luckily, only one picture surfacing.

debunkingIn the end, the 2010-11 year was one each of you should be very proud of.  Thank you all for everything that each of you brought to our year of successes!  I am so proud to have been a part the leadership for the 25th year of Las Vegas Fremont Rotary.

We are moving into our new year with a fabulous new President and Board - I hope each of you will continue to give 110% towards our Club's growth and commitments for Service Above Self.

With much love and gratitude,

Linda Bertuzzi,  President,  (by the time you read this, PAST)

The Four Way Test

Of the things we think, say or do

1. Is it the TRUTH?

2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?

3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?

4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
