Ongoing Classes & Workshops

Starting 4/17 Orthopedic Yoga with Mary will now be offered on
 Saturdays from 9:30-10:30am
Cost is $20 per class

Orthopedic yoga emphasizes passive stretching to release the stress, tension and contractions held in the body.  Most postures are in a seated position or lying down and are held for 5 minutes. While in the pose orthopedic massage techniques are applied to enhance rehabilitation to the ligaments, connective tissue and the joints.  Orthopedic yoga relaxes the sympathetic nervous system (fight or flight) and ignites the parasympathetic nervous system which stimulates endorphin production, relaxation and healing.
