Portraits are More Than Paper
A week or so ago, I came across the blog of a Colorado photographer named Jeanine Thurston.  Jeanine had a long-time client who developed cancer.  She wrote a letter to Jeanine that her husband delivered some time later, when he felt ready.  Towards the end of the letter, Jeanine writes, "The next time someone cancels a [photography] session - my wish is that you forward this letter to them."  Read the full letter here, and be prepared to shed some tears...

A Twinkling of Lights

I'll end this e-mail with a pair of abstract photographs that I created at this year's Garden of Lights display at Brookside Gardens.  These images make me think of a universe full of shooting stars, each star a bright opportunity, each twinkling light a symbol of hope.  May your new year be full of twinkling stars!
