Engineering Career Fair

The Steinbright Career Development Center and CoE are co-hosting Drexel University's 7th Annual Engineers Week Career Fair. The career fair is a great opportunity for students to discuss career opportunities and co-op positions with organizations interested in recruiting students from CoE. WiCS Wall Climbing Party

MCS Meeting: Zynga Discussion

University Crossings 153 Drexel's Math and Computer Science Society (MCS) hosts Zynga, the company behind many popular Facebook games such as Farmville and Mafia Wars. Representatives will be coming to talk about the technical challenges they face. This will also be a recruiting event, so be sure to bring a resume and any questions you may have if you are interested. Registration (Spring term):
Spring registration opens today (February 7); however, depending on your classification, you may have a different registration date than other students. Your specific date is listed below: Pre-Juniors - February 22 Sophomores - February 25 Freshman - March 2-3 Note: Students on co-op cannot be added to classes until the week before the term starts.
Don't forget that if you are planning on graduating next year (2012), you will need to take CS 350 and MATH 221 in the Spring (if you haven't already) so that you can take CS 451 in the Summer. CS 451 is a prerequisite for senior design (CS 491/2/3) that starts in the Fall. Feel free to contact your assigned advisor if you need any help registering or working out a plan of study. Alumni Association Scholarships Available
Application Deadline: Monday, February 28, 2011
The Drexel University Alumni Association offers annual scholarship awards to current Drexel students. The Alumni Leadership Scholarship is awarded to students who are currently enrolled as juniors and are selected on the basis of leadership demonstrated through participation in university activities and involvement in community organizations and activities. The Alumni Legacy Scholarship is awarded to children or grandchildren of Drexel alumni who are currently sophomores, pre-juniors or juniors and are selected on the basis of overall scholastic achievement, student activities and community involvement. The Alumnae Planning Board Scholarship is awarded to female students who are currently juniors and are selected on the basis of merit demonstrated through scholastic achievement and leadership within the university and community. PSPE Reading Chapter Engineering Scholarship
Deadline: May 27, 2011
The Reading Chapter of Pennsylvania Society of Professional Engineers will be awarding a $2,000 scholarship for 2011-2012. The Scholarship is a one time only grant to be provided to an undergraduate engineering student who will be enrolled in the first semester of their second last or final year in the fall of 2011. Academic success, character, personal merit, commitment plus school and community involvements will be the basis for the award. 2011 Senior Shirt Design Contest
The Senior Year Experience program is seeking designs for the 2011 Senior Class logo. This contest is open to any Drexel senior.
Contest details include:
-Be creative
-Designs should represent senior class spirit, Drexel traditions (Mario, etc.), be non-offensive and include the class of 2011.
-The t-shirt base will be white and colors used in the design should be blue and gold.
T-shirt logos should be submitted to seniors@drexel.edu with 2011 Senior Shirt Design Contest in the subject line. Submissions must include the student's full name, year, major, student ID number, email and phone number. All logo designs must be submitted as high-resolution images in EPS and JPEG formats.
Submissions must be received by Friday, February 25, 2011. The winner will be announced at the end of the winter term and the logo will be printed on the 2011 Senior Class t-shirt and be featured on all senior-related materials for 2011.
Seniors, this is the last chance to leave a mark on Drexel's campus before graduating. Submit a design and help represent the entire 2011 Senior Class. Don't miss out on this unique opportunity and good luck.
