Join Us to Meet the Annual Fund Challenge

Foote has received two important challenges for Annual Fund gifts!

  • thermometerAll gifts received in May will be matched up to $40,000.
  • If parent participation in the Annual Fund reaches - or exceeds - 85 percent, Foote receives another $10,000.
Please give a gift to the Annual Fund
as soon as possible. We want Foote to earn the full $50,000.

Any gift - no matter the amount - matters greatly to us!

You can give here!

Coins Add Up to Finish a Building

jar

Foote's ALL SCHOOL COIN DRIVE during the month of May has raised more than $200 so far from students contributing to finishing the new building. Keep those coins coming!

* There is a jar (like the one at right ) in every classroom.

* A bulletin board by the Front Desk is displaying results each week.

* The new building will have the name of every student engraved on the railing!

Volunteers Needed

The PTC needs volunteers for the After School Program Appreciation Dinner, which will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wed., May 23, in the Art Room.

The PTC sponsors the dinner to thank Foote's After School teachers for their hard work in caring for Foote School children in the After School program. More than 60 percent of Foote families use the After School program.

Volunteers are needed to help set up, provide items, and clean up. Please click here to respond.

Stock Up for Summer with Stop & Shop Cards

Stock up for summer with Stop & Shop gift cards in $100 or $250 denominations.  Foote earns $5 for every $100 card we sell.

Orders should be emailed to Jaime Cole by May 25. They will be ready for pickup at the final PTC meeting or in the Development Office. Payment is due upon pickup.

Last PTC Meeting of Year June 6

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF FOOTE

The Exhilaration of Invention

Seventh graders have been building robots in science teacher Tim Blauvelt's class, and today, Thurs., May 17, the students took them out for a spin. The main building's hallway served as a testing ground for the robots, which whirred about, flipping over every so often, regularly running into walls, and eliciting cheers when they finished the course.

A Good Day to 'Get Caught Reading'

Foote stopped its daily rhythms for a little while today to let everyone in school - students, faculty, and staff - read quietly as part of 'Get Caught Reading.' The rustling of pages, the occasional whisper, and the music of birdsong, particularly among ninth graders and kindergartners who read together in the Sacred Woods, were the only noises to break the silence.
