Chinese Delegation Arrives Sept. 27

For the fifth consecutive year, a delegation of students and teachers from Yali Middle School, our sister school in Changsha, China, will be visiting Foote. They will arrive Tuesday, participate in an All-School Assembly Wednesday, and visit classrooms and interact with students in every grade during their three-day visit.

Assembly dress is required for the Wednesday Assembly. Find guidelines for Assembly Dress here.

Watch this space next week for more information about the visit.

Grandparents Day Details

Grandparents Day, Fri., Oct. 14, is just a few weeks away!

Invitations:
If you'd like to invite a special friend or you didn't include grandparents' addresses on the student information form in your summer packet, please send the information to Maria Granquist in the Development Office, and we'll send an invitation directly. Please encourage your child's guests to RSVP early so we can prepare a schedule for their visit. Since we anticipate that more than 400 grandparents will attend, we cannot accommodate parent visitors to classes that day. Everyone is welcome at the assembly, of course!

Please Volunteer:
Whether you can spare a few hours or the whole morning, we would appreciate your assistance welcoming grandparents, leading them to classes, arranging refreshments, and a host of other tasks. We'll hold an orientation session for anyone who would like to know more about the campus. And if October 14 isn't a good day for you to volunteer, please come to help set up in the Hosley Gym on Thurs., Oct. 13 between 12:30 and 3 p.m.

E-mail Maria Granquist if you are able to volunteer. It's a wonderful occasion, and you will enjoy being part of making it happen!

School Photo Day is October 4
