Intrigue 9!!

"...Summer Sipper..."

"Beginning Tuesday, we will be sampling the 2009 Intrigue "9" ($14.90). "9" is a blend of three varietals, Riesling, Gewürztraminer and a touch of Semillon. The intense summer heat of 2009 allowed the Gewüztraminer to ripen with lush tropical fruit flavours.  Riesling brings structure and character with its racy acidity. This is a fantastic Summer Sipper at a great price!

See You Here!"

Weekend Tasting!!
See Ya Later Ranch!!

"...complex spicy aromas..."

"Join us this weekend as we taste a range of wines from See Ya Later Ranch! The winery owns 171 acres of estate vineyard with 101 acres planted. The Hawthorne Mountain Vineyard has the largest planting of Gewürztraminer in North America, with 65 acres planted to this varietal.

We will begin with the 2008 Gewürztraminer ($16.99). This wine displays a spicy aroma of lychee fruit and rose petal, with hints of pink grapefruit. This shows rich, exotic flavours of lychees and ripe melons balancing it's crisp acidity and off-dry finish.

Next is the 2009 Jimmy My Pal ($15.99). Jimmy My Pal, the winery's SPCA Fundraising wine, is 40% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Gris and a new component of 30% Semillon. All the fruit is separately fermented in stainless steel tanks. This is rich in stone fruit, melon and pear notes. The palette is enjoyably soft, full and approachable.

The 2007 Pinot Noir ($21.99) is up next. This shows aromas of black cherries and mild oak. The palate features strawberry and cherry, followed by a long, full finish.

Finally we will sample the 2007 Rover ($24.99). Rover is a distinctive and outgoing blend of Shiraz & Viognier, displaying powerful, rich, and complex spicy aromas of plums, cherries and blueberries.     See You Here!
