This Weekend - Sumac Ridge!! Midweek - Cedar Creek!! Nota Bene!!!
|
Greetings! Everyone's getting ready for the long weekend. Make sure to stock up on your reds for dinner/barbeque, whites for the cheese, and our excellent rosés for the patio! (I hear the suns going to be out over the weekend... YAY!!)
I've got a bottle of 8th Generation Pinot Meunier, St. Hubertus Frizzanté, and Church & State Cabernet Blanc (all 3 rosés) all chilled and ready to go for that afternoon on the patio myself!
Have a great long weekend!

Weekend Tasting!!
Sumac Ridge!! "...a hint of cedar and blackcurrant..."
"Join us this weekend as
we taste our way through a selection of wines from Sumac Ridge Estate Winery! Sumac
Ridge is the oldest operating estate winery in British Columbia. At the
Summerland winery site, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Noir and Riesling grapes are
grown while further south in the Black Sage Vineyard, Cabernet Sauvignon,
Merlot and Cabernet Franc are grown in addition to a number of white varieties
such as Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Blanc, and Chardonnay.
We will begin with the
2007 Private Reserve Sauvignon Blanc ($13.99). Fresh citrus and tropical aromas
lead to ripe gooseberry flavours with a hint of herbs and a soft, coconut
finish.
Next up is the 2007 Black Sage Vineyard Chardonnay ($17.99). Citrus
aromas on the nose are complimented by vanilla oaky scents. Flavours of apple,
pear and pineapple follow leading to a rich and creamy finish.
Our first red
will be the 2007 Private Reserve Cabernet Merlot ($14.99). This wine shows
flavours of blackberry, bing cherry, and a hint of spice. It's a relatively
full bodied, round wine with a soft mid palate and long finish.
We will end
with the 2006 Black Sage Vineyard Cabernet Franc ($19.99). Aromas of cassis and
vanilla precede the rich round flavours of plum and cherry. The long, lingering
finish is graced with a hint of cedar and blackcurrant.
See You Here!"
