This Weekend - Mixed Event!! Midweek - OKV Chardonnay!! New Arrivals!!
|
Greetings! No pictures for the tasting this week! I've been a bit busy with my newborn baby boy and haven't been into the store to take a picture of the wines yet.
Our lineup for next week's tasting is going to be a killer! Get ready to hit the patio/backyard for some fun in the sun!

Weekend Tasting!!
Another Mixed Bag!!
"...barbeque..."
"Join
us this weekend and taste a diverse assortment of wines.
None of them have anything at all in common, some are new and some we just
haven't tasted for a while.
We will begin with the new 2008
Twisted Tree Trio ($21.90). This blend consists of 50% Marsanne, 14% Roussanne
and 36% Viognier, all traditional Rhone varietals. The nose shows hints of honey,
and grapefruit, flowers and citrus notes follow on both the nose and palate.
The wine has good acidity levels, and finishes long and crisp.
Next we move on to the
2008 Dunham & Froese Rosé ($16.91). Once again this is 95% Merlot
and 5% Syrah. This wine is created in a traditional European style, full-bodied
and bone dry. It's pressed immediately after crushing with just enough skin
contact to impart its perfect rosé colour. On the palate you'll find strawberry
and hints of spice.
The 2008 Desert Hills Gamay ($17.88) is next. This medium
bodied wine shows flavours of black cherry, vanilla and spice and is perfect
for the upcoming barbeque season.
Our final wine is the 2006 Jackson-Triggs
Grand Reserve Shiraz ($26.00). The bouquet displays black currant
and spicy aromas layered with hints of cherry and black pepper. On the palate
cherry, and currant flavours are well integrated with the soft tannins.
See You Here!"
