"...apple and lime..."

"Join us beginning Tuesday as we sample the 2008 St. Hubertus Riesling ($15.01). This is a classically styled Riesling, showing delicate floral aromas with hints of honey. The wine lingers on the palate with flavors of apple and lime.

Weekend Tasting!!
Stag's Hollow!!

"...smooth silky tannins..."

"Join us this Saturday from 2:30 till 5:00 pm as we welcome Larry Gerelus, owner of Stag's Hollow Winery! In 1991 Larry left the petroleum industry and spent the summer researching prime grape growing areas in the Okanagan. The existing 10-acre vineyard was purchased in 1992, and in 1995 construction of Stag's Hollow Winery began after its first crush.

We will begin with the 2009 Sauvignon Blanc ($19.99). This is a fresh crisp wine with a classic nose of grass, lime and gooseberry leading to flavours of melon, grapefruit, and kiwi fruit. It shows impressive intensity and balance with an enduring, clean, fresh finish.

Next is the 2007 Renaissance Chardonnay ($25.00). This was barrel fermented and aged in French Oak. Complex layers of hazelnut, butter and creme brulee mingle with peaches, apple and pear leading to a long, satisfying finish.

We will begin the reds with the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon ($22.99). Ripe, dark bramble fruit with a hint of Okanagan desert sage and Garrigue. The wine has balanced, bright fruit acidity and finishes with smooth silky tannins. Bronze Medal 2009 Canadian Wine Awards.

We will conclude with the 2006 Renaissance Merlot ($29.99). Renaissance wines are not made every year but rather when the wine is of exceptional quality in that vintage. This wine is actually 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and is a rich and concentrated wine with flavours of blueberry, blackberry and chocolate on the finish. Silver Medal 2009 Northwest Summit Awards.
