Midweek Tasting
Mt Boucherie~!!

"...honey notes with peach and pear ..."

"Join us beginning Tuesday as we sample the new 2008 Mt. Boucherie Pinot Gris ($15.99)! It comes exclusively from Mt. Boucherie's Similkameen Vineyard in Cawston. This unoaked wine shows honey notes with peach and pear flavours on the palate followed by great acidity and a long finish. The wine won a Gold Medal at the 2010 Grand Harvest Awards in California.

See You Here!"

Visit from Vista D'Oro!!
Greetings!

Will keep this one short as I've had some problems with my pc at the office.  Can't seem to upload any pictures!

At least you won't find inconsistencies in the wines you buy at our store!  Come try the new tastings we have!

Cheers,

Weekend Tasting!!
Cedar Creek!!

"...Kelowna, Peachland, Naramata and Osoyoos..."

"Join us this weekend as we sample some of the Great new Bargains from Cedar Creek!

We will begin with the amazing 2006 Platinum Chardonnay (reduced from $29.90 to $23.00)! This was produced from specific blocks of low-yielding Chardonnay clones picked at full maturity and selected for flavour concentration. These grapes were harvested from Greata Ranch as well as from the Mauz Vineyard in Osoyoos. It was fermented in new French oak (67%) and one and two year old French oak and aged sur lie for 11 months before bottling. It shows an intense yet elegant nose of golden apple, pear, citrus, tropical fruits and vanilla backed by a subtle hazelnut toastiness. The mouth feel is well balanced and rich with a smooth, creamy texture on the palate.

Next is the new 2007 Merlot (now $18.90). The grapes for the 2007 vintage were harvested from eight unique vineyards in Kelowna, Peachland, Naramata and Osoyoos. It was barreled in 95% French oak and 5% American oak. Aromas of raspberry, cherry and beetroot compliment flavours of chocolate, mocha and vanilla bean. There is a hint of new leather creating a full-bodied wine with soft, silky but firm tannins.

Finally we will taste the 2006 Estate Select Syrah (now $24.90). This Syrah was sourced from a single vineyard located in the south Okanagan. The Bartsch Vineyard in Osoyoos is the hottest site in the Okanagan - the perfect home for sun-loving Syrah. It was aged for 15 months in French oak, resulting in rich raspberry, ripe cherry and blackberry fruit aromas with a hint of white pepper, followed by lingering fruit with a hint of vanilla and spice.
