Autumn Classes in Progress--Classes commenced in the studio on September 15, 2009.  Students at every level of painting are welcome to attend. We learned to paint Salmonberries and then we painted Holly and Berries. Some of the students painted multiple projects for gift giving. All of the artwork was very beautiful.  Please come and join in the fun. Join our class in the studio or learn online at Online Classes with Mary Lou . Contact information is provided on the bottom of the newsletter or click on the following link. www.labergedesign.com .

Studio Tip:  Group Painting in Progress
At the end of each class session students often had little dabs of leftover paint that needed a purpose.  A large tile was prepped with masking tape and rests on an easel in the studio. The students randomly apply their leftover paint onto the tile. There are no rules and any color of paint can be applied to the tile. Creativity and experimentation is encouraged. Creating texture, using stamps, or using wipe out tools to etch out a pattern have all be used to create interesting effects. After we finish painting this experimental tile, one lucky student  gets to take the tile home after we draw names out of a hat.

Each student contributes by painting sections on the tile.
