All That Jazz
The Global Jazz band GLAZZ along with soloist Judith Honesty provided the perfect atmosphere for an evening of upbeat music, lively conversation and thrilling auctions for the benefit of Hearthstone Communities. Held at the spacious Village Hall Banquets in Union, more than 225 people supported the mission of Hearthstone Communities by contributing to the expansion and remodeling of the Mary and Carl Mueller Rehabilitation Center and the Hearthstone Early Learning Center.
Emcee Chris Krug and master auctioneer Mayor Brian Sager set an energetic tone with their fast moving banter and careful attention to a power packed program. Friends of Hearthstone, Stephen and Linda Smith gave a heartfelt testimonial to the wonderful care received by their parents at Hearthstone.

The Sky Is The Limit
"Everything is possible with God," (Mark 10:27) is the summer theme of the Hearthstone Early Learning Center. A new and expanded Vacation Bible School curriculum has been selected included an outer space theme, cool scientific experiments, crafts, Bible stories, dramas and self discovery. The focus is on Trust God, no matter who you are, how you feel, what people do, what happens or where you are.

Pastoring with an iPod
Randy Waller is keeping up with the technological revolution. As Director of Pastoral Services, Pastor Randy recently acquired an iPod Touch and downloaded several versions of the bible. He no longer carries a hard copy bible with him when he conducts bible study or devotionals. Wondering what the residents would think about this, Randy has found that the residents didn't bat an eye having become used to seeing these "gadgets". Like our residents discover regularly, we're never too old to learn something new. |
