Dear Friends:
We've emerged from a snowy February and are thankfully heading toward Spring!
Here's something to think about as you go about your Spring cleaning. Consider donating your old boat, car, van, camper or snowmobile to Hearthstone. You'll get a tax deduction along with the good feeling that you've helped one of McHenry County's oldest non-profit organizations. Sue and I donated an old car to a non-profit I worked for in Wisconsin and found it was an easy way to contribute to a good cause.
Check out the Blackhawks tickets below. The seats are fantastic!
Regards,
Terry Egan, President & CEO |

Care Package to Afghanistan
Children at the Hearthstone Early Learning Center are reading What Would Jesus Do as part of their weekly Bible curriculum. This children's book is an adaptation of Charles M. Sheldon's classic work In His Steps. They are learning that although they may be young, they too can make a difference. Among other things they are making a care package for T.J., the nephew of one of our teachers who is stationed in Afghanistan. Treats like mint gum, jolly ranchers, hard candies in addition to greeting cards are being collected at the Early Learning Center. |
