NORTHSKY HOSTS TECHNOLOGY WEBINAR FOR NONPROFITS ON LOCATION AND MAPPING

March 29, 2012 --- TRAVERSE CITY, MI - NorthSky Nonprofit Network will host a webinar for nonprofit leaders on Thursday, April 12, from 10 am to noon at Northwestern Michigan College University Center in room 212. The session, "Location and Mapping",  will be led by technology consultant, Andy Wolber, and focuses on how a nonprofit organization can map constituents or members easily. Participants will also learn how location tools, such as Foursquare, can help find nearby volunteers, promote events, and attract and reward visitors. Participants will discuss how to make an organization "findable" via mapping tools, and how to maintain location privacy where needed. The session is designed for staff and volunteers of membership and event-driven organizations.

Participants can attend the webinar at their own computer or at Northwestern Michigan College University Center. The registration fee for each webinar is $12.  Registration is required by contacting www.northskynonprofitnetwork.org or 231.929.3934.
