Emergency Funds Available through the Grand Traverse Regional Community Foundation
|
The Community Foundation FOCUS Fund has funding available this year to support organizations with an urgent, unanticipated need for funds. Requests will be considered from organizations providing health and human services in Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska and/or Leelanau Counties. Proposals will be considered for program operational needs, direct services, capital or equipment expenditures, etc.
Individual grant awards of up to $2,500 are planned and all grantees will be asked to provide a dollar for dollar match. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis; the next review date is planned for November 15.

Nonprofit Executive Coaching Pilot Information Session

Lucille Chrisman, Certified Professional Co-Active Coach, Coaches Training Institute This is an encore presentation. There is no need to attend if you joined us at the September 2011 session. Executive coaching is defined as a one-on-one confidential relationship that supports, encourages and challenges leaders to move forward and take action. For-profit leaders have been utilizing coaching as an effective method of growing their top performers and now the nonprofit sector is beginning to do the same. Starting in January, 2012, NorthSky Nonprofit Network is offering leaders the opportunity to be part of a pilot program to determine the impact of coaching on nonprofit leaders and their organizations. This is a chance to work with an executive coach in reaching your personal and professional goals.
