Learn how to use setup and use Twitter & HootSuite. Twitter lets you share information in 140-character chunks, and provides a good introduction to the basic elements of social media. HootSuite lets you schedule Tweets and Facebook updates, and manage multiple social media accounts.

Emergency Funds Available through the Grand Traverse Regional Community Foundation

The Community Foundation FOCUS Fund has funding available this year to support organizations with an urgent, unanticipated need for funds. Requests will be considered from organizations providing health and human services in Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska and/or Leelanau Counties. Proposals will be considered for program operational needs, direct services, capital or equipment expenditures, etc.

 

Individual grant awards of up to $2,500 are planned and all grantees will be asked to provide a dollar for dollar match. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis; the next review date is planned for November 15.

Oryana Natural Foods Market Invites Non-Profits to Apply for Community Grant

Oryana currently seeks applications from local non-profit organizations for the Oryana Community Grant Program. Every profitable year, Oryana donates a portion of its end-of-year proceeds (pre-tax) to a local non-profit organization. Just a few weeks remain for groups to submit their applications; they must be received electronically by December 1.
