5th Anniversary Party

Come join us for an afternoon of great food and great games.
PlanechaseThis all-day celebration features a fantastic barbecue lunch (tri-tip or veggie dogs) served from 12-3pm. The lunch is free to our customers. It's our way of saying thanks for your support over the past 5 years.

Besides the excellent lunch, we'll be playing board games during the event. We're looking for volunteers to run games in a "mini con" format. Please consider volunteering for a slot, by contacting Joe, our game center coordinator.

There will also be a Dungeons & Dragons table for those who want to try out the new edition (or just get their game on). Short "delve" games last about an hour and you don't need to bring anything to play.

Finally, we'll have an hourly drawing for door prizes. Great prizes from the game industry will be on hand, including some exclusive items, along with some gems we held back from or Ding & Dent auction.

Yu-Gi-Oh Stardust Overdrive Sneak Peak
Stardust Overdrive Japan
Cost: $20 entry fee includes booster packs

Stardust Overdrive features monsters from all 3 series of the Yu-Gi-Oh! animated series, including many of the monsters used by and against the Dark Signers on current episodes of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's.

Stardust Overdrive has something for everyone. New Koafki Meiru cards add to the collection introduced in Raging Battle and Ancient Prophecy. The awesome Majestic Star Dragon (with 3800 Attack
Points) uses Stardust Dragon which can be found in Duelist Pack . Yusei . or The Duelist Genesis. Stardust Overdrive also includes new Blackwing, Fortune Ladies, Earthbound Immortals, Synchro monsters, and much more.

Sneak Peek: What is it?

A Sneak Peek is your first look inside the latest booster set. New Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's TRADING CARD GAME booster sets are released every three months, featuring 100 brand new cards! Add these new cards to your collection, or create a new Deck based on the featured new themes, or add the new cards to your current Decks to make them more powerful than ever.

At a Sneak Peek, you'll get 5 booster packs of the latest set, and use just those cards to build a new Deck. The minimum Deck size at a Sneak Peek is lowered to 20 cards. Since only these new cards are used, everyone has a chance to win their Duels!

While you're having fun with your new cards, you might win a special Ancient Prophecy Game Mat. After the Sneak Peek, you can buy more packs of Ancient Prophecy on September 1st at stores everywhere!

For Parents

If your child is younger, shy, or just getting into Yu-Gi-Oh!, a Sneak Peek is a good first stop. Some tournaments can be intimidating, with highly competitive players, but these Sneak Peek events are more casual and fun. These are some of the best events for new Duelists since everybody has access to the same cards. If your child is nervous about asking a stranger to Duel against, ask the store personnel to help. Sneak Peeks are all about everyone having a good time with their new cards.

About the Game Center
How does the game center work?
The game center is always open during business hours. You can use the game center to play hobby games, at no charge. Occasionally, there are special events that require an entry fee, but the money is usually used as prize support for the event. The game center is intended as a community center, as opposed to a profit center for the store. By supporting the community, our community supports us back by buying our games.

Where can I find out about center events?
You can view the calendar online here. We also post events on several boards in the store, including a friend finder bulletin board where you can post requests for fellow gamers. You are strongly encouraged to create your own events for in-store play. If you don't see one you're interested in, consider proposing one to a staff member. Most of our events evolve this way. Our only requirement is that your event be open to everyone and be related to products we sell.
