Visit Richmond Hill!

Greetings!

Romance is something that is different for everyone.  Some people like a quiet walk on the beach. Others enjoy the company of friends and a party atmosphere. This month Richmond Hill has something for everyone to add a little romance to life!

* For the quintessential romantic experience, you can book a Valentine's Day hotel package with a Night of Romance at the Richmond Hill City Center

*If your idea of romance is a quiet stroll along a secluded trail, take your partner on a walk through the antebellum rice field trail at the back of J.F. Gregory Park

*For the couple who's idea of romance is rooting for their favorite team in the company of friends, come enjoy the Big Game at the Richmond Hill City Center

*For the couple that is into history, come enjoy a lecture at the local Historical Society's monthly lecture series

*If you would like a fun day out, bonding with your family, but are trying to watch your pennies, come enjoy a FREE weekend at your local museums

We hope these ideas have inspired you to put a little romance back into your life, no matter what that means to you!

The People Who Shaped Richmond Hill:  Personalities, Politics, and Events

On Thursday, February 3 at 7:00 PM in the Richmond Hill Museum, Angus McCleod will talk about the people and events that shaped Richmond Hill over the past 40 years. He will concentrate on the time period of Richmond Hill's development in the 1960's through the 1990's. Who and what were the catalysts for Richmond Hill and Bryan Necks growth? McCleod, local historian, realtor, and long time resident of the area, has a way with words that will entertain and inform you with stories you won't read in the history books. Learn more about this area you call home.  The Richmond Hill Historical Society is hosting this event. The presentation is open to the general public and is free. Read more...
