Lights, Camera, Boats!

 
Saturday, December 4 @ 6:00 PM

Boat lovers will be thrilled by this spectacular lighted boat parade hosted by Offshore Outlaws. The boat parade will begin at the Fort McAllister State Park pier and end at the last house on the point. Judges will be located at the Fort McAllister Marina and awards will be presented to the best in show. Attractions will include live music, food, fireworks, and beverages after the parade. Contact Offshore Outlaws at (912) 547-0149 for more information. Come join the fun!

Brochures and flyers about local activities and events are available at the information desk at City Hall and at the RH City Center.  A self-serve brochure rack has maps and event information available for free.  Please contact the CVB for help in getting your brochure added to the rack or your event listed on our website.

Its here again, the fun filled holiday weekend for Richmond Hill has arrived!  The entire month is jam packed with tons of activities and ways to get into the holiday spirit.  If you have never taken part in some of these things, or if it has been awhile since you did, I suggest you come out and experience all of the great things Richmond Hill has to offer. You can:

* Try some wonderful new chili recipes and watch a family movie outside at the City of Richmond Hill's annual Chili Cook-off
* Watch a great hometown parade and get some treats from Santa
* Buy some local art at a Starving Artists sale
* Shop local and get the chance to win $500 and many other great prizes at the Chamber's Christmas Stroll
* Spend the evening watching holiday lights meander down the Ogeechee and see a fantastic holiday fireworks display
* Take your kids to the Winter Muster and let them experience the life of a Confederate soldier

Come Eat Chili and Watch a Movie with the Kids


This year's chili cook-off is going to be bigger than ever! Not only will you get to eat some great food, you will also be treated to a family movie under the stars.  Read more.....
RH/BC Chamber Christmas Stroll!


This year's Stroll will start at Noon on Saturday December 4th, 2010, directly after the RH parade is done.  Visit local participating businesses from Noon to 4:30 and enjoy entertainment, strolling carolers, a merchant door decorating contest, and other planned events. This year their are over 50 businesses to visit and register for prizes!

 

Shops and restaurants will be ready to welcome you with light refreshments - join the stroll and register for great prizes and gifts valued at $50 at participating locations. Register to win a grand prize of $500!

Experience Life at the Fort

Captured Fort 

Come spend the day at the fort watching the Confederate troops prepare for their final battle. The fort will be open to the public from 8:00am till 4:30pm with the battle taking place at 5:00pm. Visitors will leave the fort and occupy a safe area to view the short but bloody 15minute battle. A tour will be held right after the battle at which time the visitors will view the destruction of war first hand. 

 
Fort McAllister State Historic Park is located on Spur 144 in Richmond Hill, Georgia.
