Richmond Hill CVB News

Greetings!

I can't believe how quickly this year has flown by.  Now that the Seafood Festival is over (and congratulations to the Chamber for another GREAT event!) it is time to take a deep breath and get ready for the frenzy of the Holiday Season.  It can be a stressful time, but the good news is that Richmond Hill has a wide variety of hometown holiday activities for you and your visitors to enjoy and keep you in the holiday spirit.

This month the newsletter will showcase the Richmond Hill Tour of Homes.  It only comes around every other year and is a great opportunity to see the best that historic Richmond Hill has to offer.  Read on to find out more about this fun event.

 Mobile Marketing

In last month's newsletter we discussed what a .mobi website is and that the RHCVB is creating one.  Now that the site is up and running, you are able to get information and phone numbers for local hotels, restaurants, shops and events by going to richmondhillvisit.mobi on your web enabled mobile device or on your pc.

You can also get to the site by texting.

Text rhga to 95495

Once you text this message to the number you will get a return email with a link to the website.

If you are the owner of one of these businesses, be sure that you get your business listing completed on www.richmondhillvisit.com so that your information is automatically added to the .mobi site.

Give me a call if you have any questions about this.  The updated listings, including a logo/picture and business description will remain a free service in 2010 to those Richmond Hill businesses who register before the end of the year.
Richmond Hill Holiday Tour of Homes!

This year's Holiday Tour of Homes will be held on Sunday afternoon, Dec. 6th, from 1:00-5:00 P.M.  The five private homes will be lavishly decorated for the holidays, each expressing the individual homeowner's special flair. Also in this tour will be "The Rabbit Hill Diner", a unique building outfitted with Coca Cola memorabilia, St. Anne Historical Chapel, and the Richmond Hill Historical Society Museum.
Advance tickets will be available at the Historical Society Museum for $25.00, and may be reserved by phone (912) 756-3697.  A lovely tea, hosted by St. Anne CCW, will be served throughout the tour hours, and is included in the ticket price. Tickets will be $30.00 on the day of the tour.

Proceeds from ticket sales are shared by the five sponsoring civic organizations: Arts on the Coast, the Richmond Hill Historical Society, Friends of the Library, Garden Club, and St. Anne CCW, and are used for programs to benefit the Richmond Hill community.

An additional treat this year is a raffle. The prizes will include a catered dinner for 6, a weekend getaway at an oceanfront condo in Cocoa Beach, Florida, and a $50.00 gift certificate to Fishtales restaurant.

Get in the holiday spirit by touring some of the beautiful homes we have right here in our community!
Thanks for reading this month's newsletter!
