Greetings!
The summer is coming to an end and school is starting. It is time to refocus and work on gearing up for the end of 2009 and planning for 2010. Part of any strategy should include taking advantage of as many free online listings as possible. This month you can learn about the State of GA's tourism website listings by attending the CVB Business Forum on August 4th at the Quality Inn. RSVP to the CVB (912-756-2676) if you would like to attend. Read on to learn about some other free tourism marketing options and to find out more about one of Richmond Hill's newest businesses. |
Richmond Hill Business Registry
In early 2009, the Richmond Hill CVB went live with its new website at www.richmondhillvisit.com. We have recently upgraded the site to include a place for local businesses to register and input information that may be of interest to visitors to the area. The purpose of the site is to provide visitors with information and to promote local attractions, activities, events, and businesses that cater to visitors to our area. We are looking for business that fall under the categories of accommodations, activities, dining, shopping, tours/transport, event facilities, caterers, event planners, and photographers.
If your South Bryan business falls within one of these categories, please take a moment to register and put your business' information on the CVB site. To do this, you must become a registered user on the site first. Just follow these instructions: Read more...

Travel Tech
Did you know that Richmond Hill and South Bryan County have many miles of walking and biking trails? J. F. Gregory Park has over 3 miles of groomed trails and the new Henderson Park has trails that connect out to trails along Hwy 144. Visitors and residents alike may be interested to know that Google is working on a new way to find and experience hiking and biking trails across the country.
Meet the Google trike. It's the sequel, of sorts, to the Google Maps-mobile, a specially rigged car with an antenna, GPS and camera that snaps 360-degree images of neighborhoods for display in the "Street View" section of Google Maps. Now Google Maps is expanding to biking and hiking trails. A Google employee on a tricycle rides around to snap the same wide-area views. To read the complete USA Today article, click here.
