Titanica in IMAX - ends April 15

Titanica is a fascinating non-fiction drama which tells the story of the 1991 expedition to the wreck of the Titanic, the "unsinkable" luxury liner which collided with an iceberg and sank on April 15, 1912, losing 1,522 lives.

 

To The Arctic in IMAX - opens April 20

To The Arctic takes you on a never before seen journey into the lives of a mother polar bear and her two seven-month old cubs as they navigate the changing Arctic wilderness they call home. Captivating, adventurous, and intimate footage brings you up close and personal with this family's struggle to survive and thrive in a frigid environment of melting ice, immense glaciers, spectacular waterfalls, and majestic snow-bound peaks. IMAX Corporation in partnership with MacGillivray Freeman Films and Warner Bros. Pictures are pleased to announce that two-time Academy Award® winner Meryl Streep will narrate To The Arctic.

When Venus Transits the Sun
Full-Dome Show in the Margaret Zeidler Star Theatre - opens April 16

Experience the awe and excitement of a rare and magnificent celestial apparition called a Venus transit.  Both engaging and immersive, this experience allows guests to understand the significance and sheer beauty of this astronomical phenomenon which will take place on June 5, 2012 and won't occur again for another 105 years!  Included in a General Admission ticket.

SPORT II Exhibition - ends May 6

SPORT II Exhibition is an interactive, body-on exhibition devoted entirely to the science of athletics, that explores the impact of science and technology on every aspect of sport. Included in a General Admission ticket.

 

Robots: The Interactive Exhibition - Feature Exhibition - opens May 26
 
The wit, excitement and imagination of 20th Century Fox's animated film Robots combine for a fun, educational experience that the whole family will enjoy. EVENTS

 

Hop on by for Easter 'Eggs'travaganza - Saturday, April 6 to Monday, April 9 - 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m.

TELUS World of Science will be offering some 'Eggs'cellent Activities for guests who hop by our destinations for families looking to find a unique way to entertain. Visitors will have the opportunity to go on an Easter Egg Hunt on April 7 and 8 from 12 noon to 4:00 p.m. to find different coloured Science Eggs in each of our 5 Exhibit Galleries then redeem them for five yummy Purdy's chocolate eggs. Even more 'Eggs'citing activities will take place from April 6 to 9 from 12 noon to 4:00 p.m including:Pysanka Egg Decorating, Egg Drop Challenge & a meet and greet with the Easter Bunny!  'Eggs'travaganza Activities are FREE with paid General Admission and FREE for Annual Members. LogiCON - Saturday, April 14 and Sunday, April 15 - 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m.

Join us for a two-day event bringing members of the scientific community together with the general public to celebrate logic, critical thinking, and the scientific method. LogiCON is for everyone: there will be talks from a variety of speakers for both the longtime science enthusiast and the curious beginner alike. Straighten Up Alberta - Sunday, April 15 and Saturday, April 21

Better posture awaits you outside our Explorer Gallery. The Alberta College and Association of Chiropractors joins us on April 15 and 21 to promote the Straighten Up Alberta program, a three-minutes-per-day routine which has been developed to help us achieve personal well-being through posture awareness and spinal health. Included in a General Admission ticket.

  

Yuri's Day for Students - Photo Opportunity - Thursday, April 12 - 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon

April 12, 2012, marks the 51st anniversary of the first human in space, Yuri Gagarin, and the 31st anniversary of the first Space Shuttle launch, Columbia. Students will join TELUS World of Science - Edmonton to celebrate these historical events. They will not only learn about space, but be involved in a celebration of human innovation as well.
