Edmonton, AB -- On April 10, 1912, Titanic set sail on her maiden voyage. On October 8, 2011, she arrives at TELUS World of Science - Edmonton running until February 20, 2012, Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition will recreate life on the famous Ship. Each visitor will become a passenger and experience the excitement and the subsequent tragedy of the fateful maiden journey.

Visitors are quickly drawn back in time to 1912 upon entrance, as each receives a replica boarding pass of an actual passenger aboard Titanic. They then begin their chronological journey through the life of Titanic, moving through the Ship's construction, to life on board, to the ill-fated sinking and amazing artifact rescue efforts.

"We are thrilled to be presenting Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition as itprovides unique insight and science learning into one of history's most infamous shipwrecks, while showcasing real artifacts recovered from the wreck site of Titanic," said Steve Baker, COO, TELUS World of Science - Edmonton.

The world's largest Ship, sank after colliding with an iceberg claiming more than 1,500 lives and subsequently altering the world's confidence in modern technology. 99 years later, TELUS World of Science - Edmonton will pay tribute to the tragedy which continues to resonate through Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition.  The tragic tale is brought to life through photographs, sound and stories of the passengers and crew members. The Exhibition features nearly 200 real artifacts recovered from the wreck site, 3,800 meters below the surface of the north Atlantic.
