Edmonton, AB - On Friday, February 4, TELUS World of Science unleashes The Ultimate Wave Tahiti in the IMAX Theatre. This giant screen film features one of GQ's 25 Coolest Athletes of All Time - ten-time world surfing champion Kelly Slater.
Following Slater on his quest to find the perfect wave, The Ultimate Wave Tahiti infuses dramatic surfing action with science in a unique Pacific paradise - Tahiti. As Slater's quest unfolds, the film explores the hidden forces at work shaping the waves and the islands lying in their path. One moment viewers are propelled into the cosmos to discover the sources of a wave's energy, the next they are under water learning about coral reef engineering and replenishment.
