 Lanesboro Local Newsletter
March 2012 - Issue # 84

Spring...
right into the manic action of mowing lawn, raking up the depleted remains of the winter to make room for the new -forever hopeful- sprouts of a new year. Are we really in Zone 4? Defying the seed packet warning to sow after all danger of frost ...(what do meteorologists really know?)... the race is on for the earliest spinach, radish, lettuce, peas, etc.
Not to be gleeful, but my spinach is 2 inches tall - as of today!
Even if you are not sowing seeds yet (probably much safer!), we do have a great selection of Seed Savers Exchange seed packets for you to have on hand, so you can sew whenever you feel like it. Check out the seed catalog and Coupon at the bottom of newsletter.
Happy Gardening!

Heather Robinson - Simply, Joy "I am excited for the opportunity to sell a variety of products at Lanesboro Local. Over the past few years, I've really been personally involved with buying local items and trying a variety of all natural items. Over the past year, I started making personal care products. Simply, Joy offers a variety of all natural beauty care products made in small batches. I really wanted to make something that was effective, natural, simple, and affordable. I'll have a variety of items for sale in the store, as well as other items available from my facebook page (*Like* me at: Simply, Joy by Heather Robinson). Items to be sold at Lanesboro Local include: cuticle cream, eye serum, facial toner, dry skin cream, baby powder, bath tea, body butter, and a variety of homemade barrettes and clips. Outside of Simply, Joy, I work full-time at the Rochester Center for Autism as a one on one behavior therapist and love my job. I look forward to meeting new people through the Lanesboro Local community! -
