Got winter greens you'd like to introduce to a delegation of art lovers? Grass-fed beef or pastured pork? Farmer's market goods you'd like to share with an all-new crowd? If you've got local food you'd like to sell direct or through the Marketplace, we welcome your interest. Contact Linda or Ceil during Marketplace hours: 507-467-2944. And remember, we now have a food mentorship program if you want to try your hand at a test market. See our blog page for more information or email us.
Green Compass PotatoesPOTATO, POTATTO - SOME CALL THEM SPUDS - IN RED, YELLOW OR BLUE

Green Compass Farm worked hard all winter winter and spring, supplying many, many kinds of heritage variety tomato and pepper plants. Next it was salad greens galore. Then, by mid-summer Andrea Mueller was harvesting great tomatoes and peppers.
Now Green Compass is digging lovely spuds in delicious colors. Try a mixed bag. Steam them, rice them and add butter and fresh herbs (lemon thyme is a knockout!). The purple-blue and creamy yellow colors are as enjoyable as and the nothing-like-it new-potato taste.
MARKETPLACE NEWS: FALL HARVEST PRODUCE - AND LEFSE TOO!

Local squashAutumn is in the air and fresh homegrown pumpkins are on the deck, courtesy of grower member Steve Snyder of Snyder's Produce Farm. Come, take some home to decorate your doorstep. A very good value. Plus pick up some broom corn and pampas grass for an outdoor urn or dried naturals arrangement.
Steve has also supplied us with sweet-ripe, locally grown cantaloupe and all kinds of just-picked squash varieties including Delicata, a nutty-tasting small yellow-striped treat. Also popular favorites: buttercup, acorn and butternut, now on sale.
Don't forget, fresh lefse on Fridays, ya!
