Greetings!
I have to start by saying THANK YOU from my whole heart. On February 2, 2010, we reached our first big milestone...a full year in business here at Soothe Your Soul. As I stopped to reflect over the last year, so many emotions came up for me. There were tears of joy, lots and lots of laughter, a little sleep deprivation, but most of all deep gratitude. It will be challenging to sum it up in my short opening paragraphs of the newsletter, so if you are interested in the full story, be sure to look for the longer version that I will post to the blog.
I have to say I am grateful to feel gratitude at all during the month of February. You see, February is a month that holds a lot of painful memories for me. It was the month my first husband, Trent, died and it is also the month that my dear friend lost her two cherished babies. When I set out to open Soothe Your Soul, it was NEVER my plan to open in February. Well, we all know that sometimes there is a wiser and more loving knowledge present in our lives and sometimes we need to allow it to lead. That is what I did when our opening was pushed from January to February 2nd. I asked myself, what would be more loving, than to give us all a new beautiful memory for February. I am so glad I did. I am also so grateful for each and every one of you reading this newsletter. You have all touched the heart of Soothe Your Soul in your own way over that last year. Thank you.
Over that last year, I've committed myself to allowing Soothe Your Soul to grow in the most authentic way possible. To bend and give and allow all of you to show me, what it is that YOU need to Soothe Your Soul. I believe it is working and I hope you agree. We have added new services, classes, workshops and amazing speakers. I've also been blessed to find some of the greatest local talent to help run the store every day. We have added lots and lots of great local MICHIGAN MADE PRODUCTS and even lots of OXFORD MADE PRODUCTS. So remember, if you are looking for the perfect gift for yourself or someone special, you will always find something Inspiring, Uplifting & Empowering here.
What I know for sure, is that I never could have done this alone. Thank you so much to all of my beautiful and wonderful friends, clients, the Oxford Community and YOU. And thank you to my family. To my awesome husband Paul, for doing more than his fair share of laundry over the last year. I am so grateful and I love you tons. To my kids for being so patient and supportive and inspiring and to my girlfriends who always lift me up with their light.

NEW PARENTING SERIES.
Soothe Your Soul, in Oxford, is now offering a new five-week class, The Relaxed Parent: Trusting the Confident Heart. Beginning on March 6, the class will meet from 9 to 11 a.m. on five consecutive Saturdays.
The group will be led by Rich Chakrin, who's facilitated many parent education classes over the past 15 years. He has a master's degree in early childhood education, teaches classes for Wayne State University's Center for Peace and Conflict studies and, most importantly, is the father of two grown children.
This program is based on the realization that each person has within them a better guidance system than anyone else can offer. For example, most parents have already experienced periods of harmony during which they met family challenges with appropriate support and compassion. They have already contributed to successful outcomes within their homes. It is precisely during these times that their inner guidance was most active and their natural emotional resources, most available.
Within a safe and comfortable setting, we will examine these periods of harmony while learning many effective ways to access, nurture and trust this innate intelligence.
"I don't know a better gift to give your child than for them to see you confidently model the use of inner guidance," says Rich. "Once they see that you trust this inborn wisdom, they will know that it exists within them as well," he says.
The cost for the five classes is $120 or $100 if you register before February 27th.

NEW CLASS Reiki Teacher Training

Reiki Teacher Training attunes you to pass all levels of the Reiki attunements and teach all classes. My goal is to help you discover your unique style of teaching Reiki so that your gifts and your authenticity shine through. You'll also learn how to market yourself as a Reiki Teacher and you'll receive a Reiki Teachers Manual to take home with you and you are also invited to re-attend all my Reiki classes at no cost if you took Reiki I, II and Masters with me previously, otherwise, the regular course fees apply.
