How are we doing? We want to hear from you about ways we can continue to offer your student and your family excellent service. If you have suggestions for ways we can improve, please be sure to email us. We would love to have your feedback!
Mark your calendars! Our Tenth Annual Awards Ceremony will be held on April 16 at the Berry Center. Students will be recognized for being at least six months above grade level, attaining G by 5, completing Level J in Math or Reading, and completing the Program.
Please schedule a parent conference with me so we can discuss your child's progress. I would like to go over the progress, as well as set goals for the upcoming year. If your child is not eligible for a trophy this year, let's develop a plan for him or her to receive one next year! |

Prepayment Discounts Return!
Back by popular demand! You can again prepay for a year's worth of tuition for your student(s). The cost for one subject for one year is $1380, which works out to $115 per month. If you are interested, simply talk with our reception personnel. |

Kumon North America (KNA) Revises its Absence Policy
Effective in January, Kumon North America has changed its policy to allow students a maximum absence of one calendar month per calendar year. This is to ensure the best student progress and thus the best value for your money. Please click here for the KNA handout regarding this decision. Please let me know if you have any questions. |

Upcoming Events
- We will be closed February 19-21 for Presidents' Day
- The Kumon Store will be open February 28-March 5.
- We will be closed March 13-20 for Spring Break.
- Our Tenth Annual Awards Ceremony will be held at the Berry Center on Saturday, April 16.
- In general, we follow the CFISD calendar with the exception that we are open during the summer except for Independence Day. Additionally, if CFISD is closed longer than two weeks, we limit our closure to two weeks per KNA policy.

Congratulations to our
Program Completers!
We had eleven students complete either Math or Reading last year. Program Completion takes drive, tenacity, and determination: all of these are qualities parents want for their children.
In all of Kumon North America (1700 Centers), only 298 students completed the Math Program. We are proud that five of them, or almost two percent, were from Kumon Steeplechase. Great job!
Reading Completers are reading at a college level; Math Completers have mastered calculus and differential equations. Reading Completers are given a $250 cash award; Math Completers are presented a $500 cash award.
In January, eighth grader David Nguyen is completing the Reading Program after five and a half years of study. Congratulations, David!
Students who are approaching completion and will also likely finish the Program in 2011 include:
