High School: US vs. India and China
We're very excited to announce that on Sunday, April 25, we will be showing Two Million Minutes, an important film comparing three educational systems, at Kumon of Fairfield, 15202 Mason Road, Suite 500, Cypress 77433.
Two Million Minutes: This 54 minute film examines the daily lives of two students from each of the USA, India, and China, and compares the academic rigors they face. What this film reveals may surprise and possibly concern you. The title comes from the calculation that four years of high school equates to about two million minutes. Please take just three minutes of your time to click here and see the trailer for this important documentary. You may also wish to visit the web site which tracks the acclaim with which this film has been received. This film has also been recommended by Newt Gingrich.
The first showing will start at 4:30 PM; the second will start at 6. You need not be a Kumon customer to attend. In fact, any parent, middle or high school student, or educator would find this film interesting. Please forward this email to your friends to encourage them to come. Although I will not be talking about Kumon at this showing, I particularly recommend it for those parents who think their children do not have time to do Kumon.
Due to the limited seating in our Center, however, we will be asking for RSVPs to ensure everyone has a seat. Please simply email me if you wish to attend, which showing, and the number of seats you wish to reserve. First come, first served. If interest is sufficient, we will schedule a third showing.
See you there! Complimentary light refreshments will be served.
