Awards Ceremony Saturday, April 17th Held at Berry Center
Mark your calendars NOW for our Ninth Annual Awards Ceremony, to be held Saturday, April 17, at 4 PM at the Berry Center Theater.
At this Ceremony, we will honor all students who are studying at least six months above grade level as of March 20. Please note your child must be enrolled in March in order to received this award. We are also honoring students who have attained G by 5, have completed Level J, or have completed either the Math or Reading Program. There is a cake and punch reception following the ceremony. Nice dress is encouraged. Watch for a video featuring some of our more successful students; seeing such children often encourages other similar children in their Kumon stories.
If your child is too newly enrolled in Kumon to have attained any of these distinctions, your family is still invited! Often parents find the Ceremony motivational for their student to continue their Kumon studies and to attain these honors as well the following year. Please be mindful it usually takes about a year or more of study to attain these levels.

Summer Study Maximizes Performance in the Fall! Opportunity to move ahead
Kumon is a year-round Program; the exciting aspect of this is that it provides a wonderful opportunity for your child to move ahead in his studies during the summer while his classmates are taking the summer off. Because Kumon students study twice as many days each year as there are class days at school, they are able powerfully to move ahead, particularly during the summer. Often our students, particularly our older students wishing to attain grade level and beyond, increase their workload during the summer to jet propel their advancement. If you have any questions about possible adjustments to your child's schedule for the summer, please be sure to email me. |
Kumon Receives Prestigious Award from Education Industry Association (EIA) Awarded February 25
Michael Sander, chair of EIA's "Education Industry Day," said "I have followed and admired the work of Toru Kumon from the beginning of my career in the education industry and feel it is a most fitting and significant honor for me to present the award to honor the legacy of a most distinguished education entrepreneur," said Sandler, who is chairman of the Education Industry Group and author of the recently released Social Entrepreneurship in Education: Private Ventures for the Public Good. "This is our first time presenting this award to a global company." For more on this story, click here. |
We're Striving for Excellence We attempt to minimize and quickly correct errors
Like your children, we are constantly striving for perfection in our service to you. Please be aware that with over 300 students and 40 employees, occasionally an error is made. While this is not acceptable to us, we appreciate your understanding and patience as we constantly work to ensure excellent training of all staff and their adherence to Center procedures. Our Centers are open every day except Fridays and Sundays to correct any errors, field inquiries, and administer Placemnt Tests. You can help reduce errors by double checking the work we give you before leaving the Center to ensure it is correct. Thank you for your understanding.
