Lent is passed. Easter is upon us. ALLELUIA! CHRIST IS RISEN! Several months back, I asked this question for your Lenten journey: "What brings a sense of community in worship?" Remember that? One group took this up and I want to share some of their wisdom so that we might continue our wrestling with the worship question. . . .

Serving the Nations: The President of the United States and our elected officials, the people and the governments of Iraq, Palestine, Israel, Afghanistan, Liberia, Sudan and all other countries torn apart by strife. All people around the world in military service for their country. The people of Haiti and Chile as they recover from earthquake devastation. Serving in the military overseas: Sammy Thole, grandson in law of the Zabels, serving in Afghanistan. Michael Marks, grandson in law of the Schwabauers, serving in Iraq. Our April 2010 newsletter has more news and information than we can comfortably fit into an e-mail. Please click through our link to read or print and read Endowment Ministry Proposals, how the terms of Council Members will soon expire and we'd like you to be in discernment about serving, Memorial Labyrinth Walk, and the Created by God sexuality study for 4th and 5th graders.
You can also find some good news about Kings Cupboard, a local food pantry.
The monthly Women's Group continues on April 13.
Women's and Men's Dinner Out for April will be at Sweet Tomatoes Restaurant on Sunnybrook. 15% of the cost for your meal will be given to MLC's Youth for their Mission Trip this summer. An official flyer from Sweet Tomatoes is required to be presented when you pay. Look for the flyers in the narthex and on the MLC website. ( www.milwaukielutheran.org)
