  JH Nights!!
It's time again for JH Nights!  Come join the fun as we play games, do some Bible time, and have crazy fun!  6-7:30 PM certain Weds. All summer.  In May they are the 6th and 13th.  Bring all your friends! 

   April Review
  We had a youth meeting about the gathering. Easter was a great day. We had a great egg hunt and breakfast. Total raised was over $1600 again. Thrivent will match $1250. We are now just about $1000 short for our trip with the garage sale on June 6th. We had first communion class. The JH Rally was great. We worshipped, did service projects and games with 50+ other JH youth from around Oregon. KNO went well as we had 10 kids. The Confirmation class helped stock shelves for King of Kings Lutheran's food pantry and enjoyed doing it.  We will probably go again!  Also started a group for men with kids at home.

Goodsearch.com = Free Money for Youth Group

  Use goodsearch.com instead of Google or Yahoo when you do a search.  You will earn money for the youth group every time!  You will get same results you would get on Yahoo.  Really.  Just type in Milwaukie Lutheran Church where it asks "Who do you goodsearch for?"
Youth Rummage Sale 
 
The SH youth are having a sale on Saturday, June 6th.  We are not accepting most donations until Sunday, May 31st right after church.  We have one room to store some bigger items or items that must be brought in early.  Please talk to Brian before bringing anything to church.  The plan is to start receiving donations the Sunday afternoon preceding the sale and every day until Friday.  We will not accept new donations after 4 PM on Friday the 5th. Start thinking about what you may want to donate.  Thanks!  We need all youth going on the trip to help as well as any other youth and parents who are willing.  Money raised helps us go to National Gathering!
Chili Cook-Off and Neighborhood Party!
 
  Come join us on Sunday, May 31st for 9:30 AM worship followed by a chili cook-off, games, and good times.  A fun event for the whole family.  Please bring a side dish or salad to share.  Invite your friends and neighbors!  Hope to see you there!
Confirmation Camp
 
   Sign up for camp through www.lutherwood.org.  Our group is going July 5th-10th.  You can sign up online or print off the forms and send them to Lutherwood.  This is a great trip for the youth and an important part of Confirmation.  This is always one of the favorite events for the youth as well as for Pastor Charles and I.  If you have never gone, you really should go. 
Lutherwood Day Camp at MLC
 
     It's that time of year to start thinking about Day Camp!  This year it will be on August 10th - 13th from 9 AM - 3 PM.  (Kindergarten goes 9 - 11:30).  Cost is a suggested donation of $40 per child.  Kids going into kindergarten - 8th grade are encouraged to participate this year.  Lutherwood will  send four fun loving councilors to run a crazy fun camp!  Look for registration materials in the mail or come talk to Brian Brown or Barb Johnson.  We also will need Senior High and adult volunteers so put the dates on your calendar. Talk to Brian or Barb if you can help, we can't do it without you.  :)
